Yoga Online

As we are all dealing with life during the pandemic, online classes have become a true lifeline. These are some of my favorite online yoga classes:

Jessica Chazen was one of my teachers during my yoga teacher training, which was an amazing privilege. Jessica is an incredible teacher (and human in general!). This is a gentle class recording: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/deephealing

Brandon Copeland is a phenomenal teacher, and one of the incredible men behind Black Boys Om, so in supporting his work, you not only get a great class, you support his efforts to bring yoga, mindfulness, and wellness to empower black communities.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=757SyMG3jsM

Jessamyn Stanley is a wonderful teacher and her classes are engaging and fun, while still being challenging. I also really appreciate how body-positive she is, especially given the often less-than-body-positive mentality that is so prevalent in the American yogasphere  (I’ll let you draw your own conclusions about what I mean by that ;D )  - This is a great beginners class, and it is on the YogaJournal channel, which is another great resource!  https://youtu.be/DkgJ82UVQ7c

This is a great class for teens and adults, both because it is just an excellent class and because it is taught by a teen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6erFaJZqP4&feature=youtu.be

I have heard really good things about this Yoga For Runners class, as it helps to release tension of built up from running (I am not a runner myself, so I cannot personally vouch for it, but I have heard good things!) https://youtu.be/jwz-81LJHQo

Yoga Garden is my favorite local studio, and during the pandemic, they are doing online classes, which I really enjoy and appreciate!

Meditations

I frequently encourage clients to try guided meditations. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • The Honest Guys (YouTube Channel - I really like the vast majority of their guided meditations)

  • Tara Brach’s Self Compassion Mediation (to be honest, anything from Tara Brach is typically wonderful)

  • Self Soothing by Tamara Levitt

  • A few good ones “for kids” (though adults can appreciate them too!)

  • A not-good-for-kids one that I find helpful for stress and anger (PG-13 language!)

  • Anger meditations

Please let me know if there are any other types of meditations you are interested in or think I should include!
